The Bible should be banned

Sometimes, I feel that the Bible should be banned all over the world. Because it not only misguides people in fields like history and science, but it also presents so many self-contradictions, sick passages and stupid stories that can irritate anyone who is capable of logical reasoning. In this article, we are going to look at some more Biblical madness.

A disgusting and inhumane punishment

2 Samuel 12: 11: You will see it when I take your wives from you and give them to another man; and he will have intercourse with them in broad daylight.

A god, who commands his followers not to commit adultery, will himself make their wives commit adultery with other men. Is there any limit to Yahweh’s madness?

Killing more innocents for no reason

2 Samuel 6: 6- 8 shows Yahweh killing Uzzah, an innocent man just because the oxen stumbled and Uzzah took hold of the Covenant Box probably to prevent it from falling. Instead of rewarding him, Yahweh chose to kill Uzzah.

1 Kings 20: 35- 36 shows Yahweh’s puppet cursing and killing another one of his puppets just because the latter decided not to hit the former. Seriously, this god kills people not only for trivial matters, but also for no reason.

Isaiah 14: 21: Let the slaughter begin! The sons of this king will die because of their ancestors’ sins.

Such a bloodthirsty god. I don't know what else to say about Yahweh's personality.

Stupid proverbs

The proverbs section is full of nonsense. Let us take a look at some examples:

Proverbs 13: 20: Keep company with the wise and you will become wise.

My comment: Rotten logic. That’s all I can say.

Proverbs 16: 10: The king speaks with divine authority, his decisions are always right.

My comment: As if there haven’t been evil kings in history. Passages like this only confirm that the Bible was written to loot and control the masses.

Proverbs 17: 7: Respected people do not tell lies.

My comment: Wow! I never knew that. So, all the “respected” politicians who have been accused of corruption are all innocent, right?

Proverbs 17: 24: An intelligent person aims at wise action.

My comment: So, all intelligent men are wise? Wish it really was that way!

Proverbs 21: 19: Better to live out in the desert with a nagging, complaining wife.

My comment: Neither sounds good. If you ask for my advice, I’d say- get a divorce.

Proverbs 22: 6: Teach a child how he should live, and he will remember it all his life.

My comment: Whoever wrote this should try raising a child himself and see if it is that easy.
Proverbs 29: 19: You cannot correct a servant by talking to him.

My comment: Yeah, so the only way to knock some sense into his head would be to take a stick and beat him, right?

Proverbs 27: 22: Even if you bet a fool until he’s half dead, you still can’t beat his foolishness out of him.

My comment: Now, wait a minute, if beating him wouldn’t work, nor would talking to him, then how should I educate a fool? Stone to death?

Proverbs 10: 19: The more you talk, the more likely you are to sin. If you are wise, you will keep quiet.
My comment:

Blessed are the merciful.

Bloody passages

We know that the Bible is full of many self-contradictions and inconsistencies. But, there are some stories that are so stupid and violent that I can only wonder why someone wrote such garbage. What’s irritating is that in today’s world of logic and science, people worship a book full of such garbage and call it “holy”.

Let’s take a look at some of the stupidest and bloodiest stories in the Bible.

Exodus 12: 29 – 30: At night the Lord killed all the first born sons in Egypt, from the king’s son, who was the heir to the throne, to the son of the prisoner in the dungeon; all the first born of the animals were also killed. That night, the king, his officials and all the other Egyptians were awakened. There was loud crying through Egypt, because there was not one home in which there was not a dead son.

Yahweh killed all the first born sons in Egypt just because of the sins of the Pharaoh. His circle of cruelty was even extended to the animals. We all know that it is a real pain to lose one’s son. But, the Christian God killed the first born son of each and every family in Egypt. What’s worse is that even the animals weren’t spared. So much violence and killing just because of the Pharaoh’s actions. Now, here is something even more shocking. Exodus 7: 3- 4 specifically says that Yahweh himself hardened the Pharaoh’s heart. If Yahweh could really control the Pharaoh’s heart, he should have made him let the Israelites go without any blood being shed. But, instead, he did the opposite and chose to do so much killing. Why did he kill the innocent Egyptians and the animals though he could have solved the problems without doing so? Maybe he just wanted to show off his powers. A god who can murder so many innocents just to prove his power isn’t worthy of worship. So, I pity those Christians and Jews who takes the Old Testament literally and still worships Yahweh.

Let’s take a look at more Biblical madness.

Yahweh enjoys killing babies, or so says the Bible

Psalms 137: 8: Babylon, you will be destroyed. Happy is the man who pays you back for what you have done to us- who takes your babies and smashes them against a rock.
I don’t care why Yahweh holds a grudge against Babylon, but, killing their babies by smashing them to rocks is something so horrible that I find hard to understand why someone would even think of doing such a thing. Yet, this passage is commanded by the Christian God himself. What’s annoying is that he says that whoever kills those babies will be “happy”. He doesn’t even feel sorry for those babies.

The Bible is full of stories where Yahweh commanded genocides for trivial matters (like worshiping other gods). Even though the Bible is such a bloody book, why are so many people Christians? There are four main reasons why people are still sticking to it.
Many so-called Christian missionaries have nothing else to do for a living. So, they keep arguing about foolish things like the infallibility of the Bible, and pretend to follow orthodox Christianity even though they know that it is wrong.

Majority of Christians in many countries are just rubber-stamped as Christians though they aren’t actually. They don’t keep Bibles, don’t go to Church, and know almost nothing about Jesus. So, these people aren’t actually “Christians”. They are just tagged as such.
Third are those who don’t read the Bible. They just like Christianity or were born Christians and go to Church to pray but they don’t know the truth behind their religion. I’m sure such people would be shocked once they open their Bibles.

Lastly, there are some Christians who don’t take the Bible literally. Such Christians are rare though. They do whatever they can to help others and they do follow the teachings of Jesus but they don’t argue about the Bible and avoid the topic whenever it comes up. Personally, I have no problem with such Christians.

But even if you are a Christian who takes the Bible literally, I don’t have a problem with that. But, the Bible is flawed and that’s an irrefutable fact. So, if you believe otherwise, you are always free to believe so. But, you should always keep such nonsense to yourself. Even though most of the Bible is garbage, if you still believe it to be “holy”, remember that it is your personal view. And you should never force others to believe the same way you do because your view is wrong. Similarly, if you take the Bible literally, you should never force or even convince others to do the same.

Blessed are the merciful.

Vishnu vs Yahweh

Most Christians provide arguments for the existence of God. I won’t say that those arguments are weak, but what’s weak is that their argument that the universal God is the god of the Old Testament- Yahweh. If God exists, why should it be Yahweh? It could be the Hindu God Vishnu. Why? It’s because Yahweh doesn’t fit the description of “loving, kind and compassionate”. Vishnu does.

Let’s make a comparison between the Hindu God and the Christian God.

Burnt offerings

Yahweh took delight in burnt offerings of innocent animals. (Genesis 4: 4, Leviticus 1: 10- 13) He even approved human sacrifice several times. According to the Old Testament, he won’t allow anyone’s sins to be forgiven without blood being shed. Even though there are several passages in the Old Testament that Yahweh hates animal sacrifices, orthodox Christians pay more attention to the chapters of Exodus and Leviticus.

However, Lord Vishnu doesn’t accept blood offerings. The Bhagavad Gita makes it clear that the Hindu God prefers people to be righteous and give up worldly attachments. He prefers self-sacrifice, and has no desire for the blood of innocent animals. Plus, in all of His incarnations, Lord Vishnu followed a vegetarian diet.

So, you decide- who is more merciful- a god who takes pleasure in blood offerings and burnt sacrifices or a god who prefers righteousness?

Murdering innocents

There are lots of examples where the Christian God has murdered innocents.

Deuteronomy 17: 12 specifically say that anyone who doesn’t obey a priest should be killed. It doesn’t matter if the priest did something wrong.

Leviticus 20: 9 says that anyone who curses his/her parents should be put to death. It doesn’t list any exceptions. So, if a little girl curses her dad because he used to molest her every day, it is the girl you will have to stone, not the father.

Deuteronomy 13: 12- 15 says that if some people in a town are worshipping other gods, the town should be destroyed and everyone should be killed. Everyone means everyone- even the babies, the children and the animals. Along with the people who committed a minor sin, even the innocents had to die.

1 Samuel 6: 19 show Yahweh killing a large number of people just for their curiosity.

There are many more examples where the Christian God has murdered people for stupid reasons. But, the Hindu God never killed any innocent human being or animal. Vishnu even did his best to bring sinners to the right path. He only killed when it was a necessity. And, there isn’t a single story in Hindu mythology where He approved a mass murder among people.

So, you decide who is more merciful- a god who wants innocents killed for stupid reasons, who has no problem with genocides, a god who punishes you with death for almost any kind of sin or a god who is full or forgiveness and mercy, a god who never approves genocides and a god who will not kill any sinner unless he/she crosses the limit?

The theory of punishment

According to orthodox Christianity, if you believe in Jesus Christ and follow his teachings, you will go to heaven for eternity. But, if you don’t believe in him or don’t follow his teachings, you are going to hell for eternity. This theory is stupid, but anyway, that’s not my point here. My point here is that no matter what the crime is, will a merciful god let you burn in hell for eternity? What’s worse is that people are only given one chance- one life. You will be judged based on your actions only on this life and you get no other chance. But according to Hinduism, if you commit sins in this life, you will be born again. And, this cycle of reincarnation will continue till you can become close to perfect and unite with God.
So, you decide who is more merciful- a god who will let those who disobey him burn in hell for eternity or a god who will give you many opportunities to reform yourself?

Many more comparisons can be made between Yahweh and Vishnu, but I don’t want to embarrass the orthodox Christians anymore.

So, what have you decided? If you are to believe in God, whom would you prefer Him to be? Vishnu or Yahweh?

Blessed are the merciful.

Hypocrisy unlimited

"The parts of the Bible that I can't understand don’t bother me; it is the parts that I do understand." –Mark Twain

As we all know, almost all orthodox Christians are hypocrites. They do all kinds of immoral things and justify themselves using verses from the Bible, a book that justifies rape, murder, slavery and all kinds of social evils.

The objective of most orthodox religions is the same- To misguide humanity, to loot the public and to control the masses. In this article, we are going to look at some more good examples that show how “merciful” the Christian God really is.

The Christian God enjoys killing, or so says the Bible

Deuteronomy 28: 63: Just as the Lord took delight in making you prosper and in making you increase in number, so he will take delight in destroying you and in bringing ruin on you.

As we can see, the Bible itself says that the Christian God not only kills his followers for mere disobedience, but he also takes “delight” in killing them. Are we talking about a god here, or are we talking about a devil?

The Christian God kills children for trivial matters

2 Kings 2: 23- 24: Elisha left Jericho to go to Bethel and on the way some boys came out of a town and made fun of him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they shouted. Elisha turned around, glared at them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys to pieces.

The Christian God killed forty-two boys mercilessly just because they mocked the prophet. Moral of this story? Probably, not to mock Yahweh’s puppets. Wait, but how do we recognize Yahweh’s puppets? How? Only orthodox Christians can tell.

More killing

1 Samuel 6: 19: The Lord killed seventy of the men of Beth Shemesh because they looked inside the Covenant Box. And the people mourned because the Lord had caused such a great slaughter among them.

Trust me or not, but I don’t feel pity for the mourning people. It serves them right for worshipping such a god.

If such a god exists, all I can say is that he is not worthy of your worship. Unless you are an evil person, that is.

Blessed are the merciful.

Does God exist?

Does God exist? That’s a question that always crosses many minds, but that’s a question to which one can hardly have a satisfactory answer. But this article may give you a satisfactory answer. Personally, I am against false doctrines and I don’t believe in mythologies that most religions preach, but after a lot of logical thinking, I have come to some conclusions. Some of them, I am writing in this article.

Why do people want a God to exist?

If there is no God, there would be no one to punish the evil people for their evil deeds. There would be on one to protect the righteous from the wicked. There would be no one to help poor and needy people when they are alone. Ever since the beginning of time, the need for a God has been like the need for air and water. Believing in a divine personality, who is watching us and protecting us from evil force, really makes us feel at ease. So, ever since the beginning of time, anyone who has been an atheist was either a wise spiritual thinker or an idiot.

Why has atheism grown?

Since the beginning of time, atheists either have been wise people who have done a lot of thinking about the subject of God, or they have been idiots. But, now, we may find atheists who are neither. It is because of the Bible. Christians may claim that atheism has grown because of the influence of Satan. But that’s rubbish. Modern atheists believe neither in God, nor in Satan. So, if Satan was behind them, he would have made them hate God and believe in Satan. But atheists don’t hate God nor do they worship Satan. They believe in neither. They simply don’t believe in beings that they do not see.

So, that brings me back to my question- why has atheism grown? It is because of the Bible. The Bible has not only presented so many stupid stories, laws and so many self-contradictions, but it has also misrepresented God. It has shown its god to be violent, jealous, and short-tempered and so on. If a real God exists, obviously he isn’t like what the Bible describes him to be. Since it misrepresented God, many people, have simply chosen atheism instead of trying to find out what the real God is like.

If you think that atheism has not been inspired by the Bible, you should think again. Just look at atheists and you will see that most of them were former Christians and they criticize Christianity. Atheists hardly criticize other religions. Even when they do, it is not because they hate the other religions, but because Christianity has made them think that all religions are the same. But, as some of us may know, some religions like Buddhism are full of logic and tolerance.

Is a God necessary for morality?

Religious people may say that a God is necessary for morality. From one point of view, that is correct. Many atheists are immoral and may even show disrespect to a religion which is tolerant and logical. But, God is not a necessity for morality. Lord Buddha’s philosophies have proved it. According to Buddhism, when we do bad deeds, we get bad karma. And, that’s enough reason to be good. If you don’t believe in karma, replace it with “peace of mind”. Even if you are an atheist, if you commit a murder today, would you be able to sleep in peace tonight? Of course not. So, firstly, even if God doesn’t exist, we need to be righteous to have our own peace of mind.

Secondly, bad deeds beget bad deeds and violence begets violence. If you hurt someone today, he may plan revenge. And, he will hurt you in return which will make you hurt him again. And, in this way, the cycle will go on. So, to prevent this cycle, we shouldn’t hurt others. And, so we have found our second reason to be righteous that has nothing to do with God.

Now, let’s look for a third reason. It can be made simply. I don’t want someone to steal from me, so I won’t steal from others. I don’t want someone to rob me, so I won’t rob others. I don’t want to be killed, so I won’t kill other living creatures. So, we can come to the conclusion that even if there is no God, there are dozens of reasons to be moral and righteous. You can explore Buddhism if you are interested in such philosophies.

Does God exist?

The universe simply can’t form out of literally nothing. Even if it did, how can there be a planet that surprisingly provides everything we need to survive and evolve? Camels live near deserts and their bodies are magically suited to that environment. Same goes for polar bears. The earth provides everything that is needed for our survival. If it is lacking something, it is because mankind is destroying its resources. And, how did time begin? And, did anything exist before the beginning of time? If anything did exist, how? The Big Bang doesn’t answer any of my questions, because even the Big Bang had to be caused by something or someone. So, logically there has to be a force that is unaffected by time or space and we call that force “God.”

If we look at history, we see that truth always wins. For example, in the war against slavery, at last, the slaves were freed. History has shown us that injustice can never prevail for a long time. In many fights against terrorism, the terrorists always have to lose in the end. It is not obvious, but likely, that a diving being is probably helping the righteous and doing His best to establish truth.
Of course, this argument whether God exists or not, can continue forever. And, I have no desire to start such an argument. This article was written to provide a logical understanding of God, and to show why I personally believe that a God, or at least some kind of powerful force exists that is controlling the universe. But, whether you believe in God or not, is your personal decision. And, God is merciful, and He respects your personal decision. So, even if you are an atheist, God still loves you if you are righteous. Christianity has made a monster out of God for money and to control the people. So, even though God probably exists, does the Bible god exist? Of course not.

I see the Bible nothing more as a pathetic attempt of many ancient Jews and Christians to create a book about morality and many people also saw it as a way to control the masses. Few of them who wrote the Bible were right in some ways, while most were wrong. Let us take a look at some more self-contradictions in the Bible.

Question number 1: Why is the Sabbath observed?
Exodus 20: 11: In six days, I, the Lord, made the earth, the sky, the sea and everything in them. And on the seventh day I rested. That is why, I, the Lord, blessed the Sabbath and made it holy.
Deuteronomy 5: 12: Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and I, the Lord your God, rescued you by my great power and strength. That is why I command you to observe the Sabbath.
Question number 2: Should Christians have obedience only towards God, or towards other men too?
Colossians 3: 22: Slaves, obey your human masters in all things.
Matthew 4: 10: Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!
Question number 3: Was Jacob the father of Joseph or was it Heli?
Matthew 1: 12- 16: The following ancestors are listed: Jechoiachin, Shealtiel, Zerubbabel, Abuid, Eliakim, Azor, Zadok, Achim, Eluid, Eleazar, Matthan, Jacob and Joseph, who married Mary, the mother of Jesus, who was called the Messiah.
Luke 3: 23: …Joseph, who was the son of Heli…
Number 4: Did Yahweh command his followers to offer blood sacrifices?
Exodus 8: 27: We must travel three days into the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God, just as he commanded us.
Jeremiah 7: 22: I gave your ancestors no commands about burnt offerings or any kinds of sacrifices when I brought them out of Egypt.
Number 5: Can anyone, even sinners, find the Christian God?
Proverbs 8: 17: Whoever looks for me can find me.
Proverbs 1: 28: You may look for me everywhere but you will not find me.
The Bible is full of so many self-contradictions. They make me laugh like crazy. So, anyone who claims the Bible to be free from error was probably hit on the head with a shovel.
Blessed are the merciful.

Lies of the Bible

The Bible is full of many historical, moral and spiritual errors, or should I say… lies. Anyone capable of logical reasoning knows that the flood never happened. But, still let me provide some evidence so that one or two Christians who were blinded by so-called “faith” may be brought to the right path.

The Flood never took place

The ethical argument- If humanity really became as evil as the Bible describes it, a merciful God should have tried to reform the humans. Instead, he decided to kill all the animals and humans leaving only a few. This madness is something a lover of God can never accept. Even if the people were so evil that they deserved death, what about the children and the animals?

The scientific argument- Our planet has many species of animals and Noah couldn’t have taken so many of them on his boat. He would also need a refrigerating system to keep the polar bears and penguins in cold, and a heater to keep the camels in heat. Also, Noah wouldn’t be able gather so many creatures living in different parts of the world in such a short time. Plus, no scientist has ever found any evidence of such a big flood taking place.

The logical argument: If the people were really so evil, God could have killed those people by using hungry lions, bears and such. That would not only be easier and save a lot of time, but also save the innocent children and animals. So, if an orthodox Christian insists that the Flood took place, he is calling his own God a fool.

Science or Church? Choose ONLY ONE.

Anyone who says that science is compatible with the Bible should join politics. The Bible is nothing but the No. 1 enemy of Science, and anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a fool. Take a look at the first chapter and you will see garbage like the Christian God creating plants before creating the Sun. It says that there is water above the sky which is scientifically wrong. So, anyone capable of logical reasoning would throw their Bibles into the dustbin and rely on their science books instead. But, some wise people may need to keep a Bible with them, to prove its errors and inconsistencies.

List of brilliant scientific facts:

Let’s take a look at some of the brilliant scientific facts in the Bible.

The Sun moves round the Earth-

Psalms 19: 5: It comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom, like an athlete eager to run a race. It starts at one end of the sky and goes across to the other.

The stars are small objects that can be thrown out of the sky and can be stomped upon-

Daniel 8: 10: It grew strong enough to attack the army of heaven, the stars themselves, and it threw some of them to the ground and trampled on them.

The earth doesn’t move-

Psalms 93: 1: The Earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved.

Sea monsters exist -

Psalms 147: 7: Praise the Lord from the earth, sea-monsters and all ocean depths…

I feel pity for those so-called Christians who still believe the Bible to be literally true. There is simply no limit to their madness.  Now, I just hope they will not tell me to “prove” that sea-monsters don’t exist. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Now, some orthodox Christians, in order to defend their religion will say that the Bible is not taken literally anymore. But, that’s my whole point! You shouldn’t take the Bible literally. If you don’t take the story of creation literally, why not do the same with others stories like the one of The Resurrection? Christians always pick and choose from the Bible which parts to take literally and which parts to not, and which parts to obey and which parts to not. So, what’s really the point of following such a book and calling it God’s word? It’s plain madness.

There is no use arguing with the fact that there is literally nothing to learn from the Bible. Show me one thing new that the Bible can teach me and I will buy you a new car. There are some inspiring passages but there is nothing to learn. Not even about morality. Plus, our morality comes from our own sense of justice, not the Bible. Even orthodox Christians, deep down, know that. If an injured man is lying in the middle of the street, an orthodox Christian may go to help him, not because the Bible says so, but because it is his duty. Still, he argues otherwise. There are some weak people who may need a guide to develop a sense of morality. The Bible obviously wouldn’t be a good guide for them. Just get them some simple books of morality, and that’s all you need to do.

Even if there is no God, it is our duty as human beings to help the poor and protect the innocent. Only a fool needs commands from scripture to help a needy human being.

Blessed are the merciful.

Buddhism vs Christianity

There are some so-called Christians who claim that Buddhism is a false religion and Christianity is the only religion that has ever existed. I don’t understand how people can be so narrow-minded. Therefore, I believe orthodox Christianity is the worst religion that has ever infected the world. I know not all Christians are like this, but most are. They are intolerant towards other religions, and believe the whole Bible to be literally true, though it is full of self-contradictions and inconsistencies.

Christians describe their God as loving and compassionate and they say that Jesus was perfect. But, that is incorrect. There were very few men in history who were perfect, and it was Lord Buddha who was one of them, not Jesus.
First, let’s make a comparison between Buddha and the Christian God.

Anger management problems

The Christian God, as described in the Bible is very short-tempered and can’t control his anger. Take a look at the passage below for one of the hundreds of examples:

Isaiah 30: 30: The Lord will let everyone hear his majestic voice and feel the force of his anger.

Just imagine how short-tempered he must be to let everyone feel his anger just because a few were supposedly disobedient.

Lord Buddha was always calm and patient. He was never angry. Not even when others tried to provoke him. Lord Buddha, unlike the Christian God, even treated his enemies with respect.

Poor sense of justice
The Christian God seems to have a poor sense of justice. No one got the punishment he/she deserved. People, who deserved to be punished, were not. And people, who didn’t deserve to be, were.

Instead of showing pity, the Christian God commands people to stone a rape victim to death along with the rapist, if she didn’t scream, while she was being raped. See Deuteronomy 22: 23- 24.

Now, as for rapists, instead of getting punishment, get to marry their rape victims. See Deuteronomy 22: 28- 29. This law was invented probably to make it easier for young ruffians to grab wives at an early age. If they liked a girl, all the needed to do was to rape her, and she was all theirs.

But, the Buddha had a strong sense of justice, but still, he didn’t judge criminals. He forgave criminals and did his best to bring them into the right path. Plus, no matter what the crime is, stoning someone to death is something the Buddha would never have approved.

Love
Many orthodox Christians claim that if you don’t believe in Jesus, you are going to hell. Is this the sign of a loving and compassionate God? No matter what the crime is, no one deserves hell for eternity. The idea is too disgusting. How can a god who is supposedly compassionate let a righteous person burn in hell for not believing in, or not hearing about Jesus?

Unlike the Christian God, the Buddha showed unconditional love, not only to his followers, but also his enemies. He reformed his enemies with love and taught them the way of the truth.

Blood Sacrifices

Many parts of the Bible say that the Christian God loves animal sacrifices. In some passages he is also shown to approve human sacrifice. It is a sign of a malevolent god. Some prophets like Isaiah spoke against animal sacrifice. But, orthodox Christians ignore such passages and continue saying that the Christian God loved blood sacrifices and that his thirst for blood was appeased by Jesus who offered his own blood. Such a god would be a monster. Therefore, I believe that such a god doesn’t exist.

Lord Buddha taught people to have love for all creatures. He rejected animal sacrifices.

Conclusion

I don’t think I need to compare Jesus with Buddha, now. Of course, Jesus was a great man, but he can’t be equal to Buddha, because even he got angry many times in the Bible, and even scolded his followers multiple times.
Anyone capable of logical reasoning can now understand who is better: Yahweh, or Lord Buddha. I also sometimes wonder why people worship a god who is infected with the very mental diseases (like anger and jealousy) which we are trying to overcome. I personally don’t believe in such a Yahweh’s existence. I believe that there is only one God, who is “truly” loving and compassionate towards all creatures, and orthodox Christians should worship Him instead.

Blessed are the merciful.
