We
all know that the Christian God is an annoying scumbag even though Christians
describe him to be a “compassionate” God. There are many stories of demons and
monsters in mythology. And, I find no one to be as malevolent as the Christian
God. But, still Christians are never convinced that they are worshipping nothing
but a demon. I pity people who see Yahweh as a hero. In this article, let me
make a comparison between Superman and Yahweh, and show in a simple way, that
Yahweh doesn’t even have the qualities of a simple superhero.
Demanding
Worship
Superman
fights all kinds of criminals and protects his city and the rest of the world
from evil forces. But, he never commands anyone to worship him. Plus, he
doesn’t even want credit for the good things he does. That’s why he disguises
himself as a simple man most of the time and uses his powers only when they are
needed.
Yahweh,
on the other hand, takes credit for things he didn’t do. If a poor man gets
some money from a friend, Yahweh gets the credit. If a sick man is healed by
his doctor, Yahweh gets the credit. If a Christian is stuck in a building that
is on fire, and you save his life, instead of thanking you, he will probably
thank Yahweh. So, apparently, Yahweh hardly does anything good but still takes
credit for the good others do. Still, Yahweh demands that you worship him. And,
anyone who doesn’t will be drowned or will be tortured for eternity.
Defeating their
enemies
Superman
has got lots of enemies and he defeated almost all of them.
But,
Yahweh has only one main enemy- Satan. Still, Yahweh has never even done
anything against Satan. Sometimes it seems that Yahweh and Satan are actually
friends in secret.
Creating evil
Superman
has never helped any criminals or created any evil himself.
But,
Yahweh himself is the cause of many evils in the Bible. I know that Yahweh
doesn’t exist, but if he did, Yahweh would be to blame for most of the problems
we have today.
Conclusion
It
is a bit sad that people are worshiping a malevolent demon just because they
are afraid of going to hell. But, they need to understand that neither Yahweh
exists and nor does hell. Plus, believing in an afterlife ruins the value of
the life we are living. We don’t have evidence for any afterlife. We do have
little evidence for reincarnation, but that is not enough. So, we should value
the lives we have because once it is over, everything may be over for us. And
to spend our precious lives worshipping a demon hoping he will reward us after
death is really pathetic. People need to grow up, already. If they don’t, they
are free to waste their lives for nothing.
Blessed
are the merciful.
